Wholly Scrap! is going out of business

Dear Friends and Customers,

It is with great sadness that we must inform you that we are closing Wholly Scrap!.  The 5 years that we have owned the store have been so rewarding.  Being part of this community is like being part of a big extended family.  I have met so many wonderful friends who have shared their lives with me through conversations and their art.  I can’t imagine having been anywhere else these past 5 years.

But, despite all of our efforts, the time has come to close our doors.  We want to thank you all for your patronage and friendship while we were here.

Store closing information:

We will begin our closing sale on May 8^th with 20% off storewide.  In addition to product in stock, we will take prepaid special orders* at 20% off for one week only.  This is the perfect time to stock up on albums, page protectors, adhesive, cardstock (in 25 packs), etc.   This sale will be in effect thru May 12.  Call (603-964-8596), email (denise@whollyscrap.com) or stop by the store to put your order in.  These must be prepaid and will be available to pick up within 2 weeks.

Watch for future emails or check the website to be updated on the discounts for the following weeks.  It is our intention to have the final sale day on May 25^th, but this will be dependent on inventory still in stock.

Store Hours:

Beginning May 8^th, store hours will be as follows:

Monday and Tuesday:  Closed

Wednesday – Saturday:  11-5

Sunday:  11-4 

We are happy to open by appointment if you are unable to come during scheduled hours.  Please contact the store at 603-964-8596 or email denise@whollyscrap.com to set up a time.

Frequent Buyer Cards:

As of May 6^th we will no longer be filling in frequent buyer cards.  Any cards filled before May 6th may be redeemed for merchandise.

Gift Cards:

Gift card will no longer be for sale. 

Gift cards will be accepted thru May 25^th.  (Or until the store is officially closed) 

Checks will not be accepted during closing sale.

Kit of the Month:

KOTM members will receive a final kit during the May meeting that has a retail value greater than two months kits. 

Any past kits must be picked up by May 17^th.  Any kits not picked up by that time will be put out for sale.

Yard Sale:

Many of you have inquired about a yard sale. If there is enough interest,  we will offer the store space to anyone who would like to sell their old crafting supplies on Saturday, June 1^st. 

The cost will be $10 per table and sellers must be present during the sale to take care of their own sales.  Unlike in the past, sellers will keep their profits instead of a store credit.

We will advertise on our sign and send out emails to our customers.

Fixtures:

Most of the fixtures, tables and chairs will be for sale.

Be Yourself Mini Album

Sat. Jan. 26– Be Yourself Altered Mini Album – Instructor: Kim- Time: 10-12 – Fee: $35 -Join instructor Kim Schofield for a hands on class where you’ll create a darling mini album using paper, stickers, and die cuts from the Original Collection from Authentique.  The beginning of this journey begins with a beginner’s lesson on altered art; using products from Dylusions and Claudine Hellmuth to alter the front of your canvas mini album.  This will be a technique packed class so come prepared to explore, learn, and get inky! Please bring basic tool kit, and non-stick craft mat if available.                     Call 603-964-8596  to sign up for this class.

File Folder Mixed Media Project

File Folder Mixed Media Project

Date: Saturday December 29, 2012

Time: 1-4 pm

Fee: $18.00

The picture is a sample of the altered art project we will be creating.

We will be using an ordinary file folder to create this unique project.

This folder will have lots of real estate like pockets and open areas for journaling and photos.

Yours will be different, not in the design but in its appearance...it all depends on the papers and colors you choose. 

 

Supplies needed:

You will be using your own papers to create this one-of-a-kind file folder project.

You will need to bring the following the supplies:

5 12x12 patterned papers (preferable from the same paper line)

5 12x12 colored card stock to match

Paint to match your papers (like a Tim Holtz Paint dabber or something similar)

Paint brush

Matching distress ink for your edges

Zip Dry

Matte Medium with foam brush

regular adhesive

foam tape

Any embellishments you would like to add (if we have time)

Cricut Christmas Class

In this class we'll be cutting vinyl, fabric, magnet and wacky tacky tape. We'll also be using the Cricut Pens for Christmas tags. We'll have lots of options to choose from and you can make as many options as time allows. 
Please bring your machine, power cord, cutting mats, basic tool kit (adhesive, trimmer, Cricut tool kit), extra blades, Christmas color card stock/pattern paper (the store has a great selection) and any Christmas-y cartridge you may have. I have lots to choose from that you can use in class. The photo is a sampling of items we'll be making:
3-d paper gift bags, fabric bag, glass & paper ornaments, vase, tags and more! I'll also be bringing other sample ideas of what you can do with your Cricut for gift ideas! Please join us as we make wonderful homemade gifts with our Cricut Machines!
